As Managing Director, Fund Management, David Friedman is responsible for the origination and structuring of equity and mezzanine debt investments throughout the United States and supervises the Company's Fund Management Group. 

Between 2002 and 2005, Mr. Friedman served as Senior Managing Director of Sterling Real Estate Partners, the real estate investment arm of the Chicago and Baltimore-based private equity firm, Sterling Partners. Between 1985 and 2001, Mr. Friedman served as Managing Director and Executive Vice President at Heller Financial, Inc. During his tenure at Heller Financial, Mr. Friedman led the Capital Markets Group, Heller Real Estate Financial Services’ Marketing, Strategy and Development Group, Credit Tenant Property Group and served as Central Region Manager. He also headed Heller Financial’s charitable activities. 

Mr. Friedman serves as the co-chairman of the Chicago-chapter of the Real Estate Investment and Advisory Council and is on the Board of Directors of the University of Wisconsin’s Center for Real Estate. Mr. Friedman is also member of the Urban Land Institute, the Pension Real Estate Association and is past President of the Chicago Real Estate Council. Mr. Friedman received a BS from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
