As Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer, Michael Burd is responsible for the development and operations of the Company’s financing, reporting and loan servicing functions, and for the formation and implementation of the Company’s capitalization and external growth strategy.
Mr. Burd joined Wrightwood Capital in June 2008 as Managing Director, Corporate Development, after a 30 year career as an investment banker serving the financial services and real estate industries. From 1998 to 2007, he was Managing Director – Investment Banking with A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc., where he served as head of the firm’s Financial Institutions and Real Estate Group and his client responsibilities included specialty finance, asset management and insurance companies. Before joining A.G. Edwards, he was an investment banker principally serving the banking and thrift institutions with First Albany Corporation, E.F. Hutton & Company and A.G. Becker.
Mr. Burd received an BA in history from Stanford University and earned his MBA from Harvard Business School.
