As Managing Director, David Friedman is responsible for Wrightwood Capital’s Fund Management Group and is Fund Manager of the Wrightwood Capital High Yield Partners II fund. He is also a member of the Company’s Executive, Valuation, Marketing and Investment Committees. Prior to joining Wrightwood Capital, Mr. Friedman served as Senior Managing Director of Sterling Real Estate Partners, the real estate arm of the private equity firm, Sterling Partners. Before joining Sterling Partners in 2001, Mr. Friedman was a Managing Director and Executive Vice President of Heller Financial. During his tenure at Heller Financial, he led the company in the following areas: Capital Markets, Heller Real Estate’s Marketing, Strategy and Development Group, Credit Tenant Property Group, Central Region Manager, Charitable Contributions Committee. He also served on the firm’s Asset Liability Management Committee.
Mr. Friedman has served on a number of private company boards including: Brickyard Bank, MetroGroup Marketing Services and Sterling Network Services (NKA i/o Data Centers). Mr. Friedman serves on the Graaskamp Center Board of Advisors at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, is member of the Pension Real Estate Association, is a member of the Zoning Board for the Village of Glencoe, serves on the Board of Directors of Am Yisrael Congregation and is a Member of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago’s Investment Committee and Real Asset Workgroup where he assists in setting strategy, selecting and monitoring Real Asset investments for the endowment portfolio. He is past President of the Chicago Real Estate Council and former co-chair of the Chicago Chapter of the Real Estate Investment and Advisory Council.
Mr. Friedman holds a BS from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
